Bye-Bye BraviSEAmo! - Hello Fantasmic!

Tokyo DisneySea’s night-time spectacular BraviSEAmo! will perform for the final time on November 13th 2010 to make way for Fantasmic! in April 2011. Here is the official release:

URAYASU, CHIBATokyo DisneySea Park has announced that a new nighttime entertainment spectacular titled “Fantasmic!” will premiere in April 2011 to kickoff the yearlong celebration of the Tokyo DisneySea 10th Anniversary, which is September 4.

Taking place at night in Mediterranean Harbor, this spectacular features Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice who creates a breathtaking world of wonder and imagination. The show features fantastic scenes from many familiar Disney films such as Aladdin, Cinderella and Finding Nemo, as well as a thrilling sequence of Mickey fighting a gigantic dragon. Filled with special effects using water and fire on the waters of Mediterranean Harbor, this dramatic show promises a night of unforgettable fantasy and excitement for all.

Performances of “Fantasmic!” will continue to be presented after the Tokyo DisneySea 10th Anniversary celebration ends.

  1. This makes me sad. I love BraviSEAmo. I know all good things must come to an end, but to replace a unique show with something I can see in California or Florida is just wrong.

  2. Well considering the films that Aladdin, Cinderella, and Finding Nemo are either not featured prominintly or at all in either of the two versions of the show, I think it is safe to assume that this will be a completely new version of the same concept. That concept art definitly looks nothing like DL or WDW Fantasmic. In fact it looks more like a certain World of Color...

  3. I'm really dissapointed and very very sad about BraviSEAmo! being replaced. It has been an identity of Disney SEA. A day is TDS won't feel like a day in TDS without watching the spectacular of BraviSEAmo! and it's enchanting love story never heard anywhere else. I've fallen in love with the tale of Prometeo and Bellisea, and Swept Away had been a very beautiful love song. I had never even had the chance to watch this show and I now I'll never watch it ever.
Fantasmic is too much of a Disney-themed show. I must say I'm quite bored with all those Mickey, Princesses, and typicial Disney fairytale stories. This show in any way is not a compatible match to Disney SEA's culture.
If this really happening, then Disney finally makes your nightmare comes true.

  4. "Fantasmic is too much of a Disney-themed show"

    ...it's a Disney park.

  5. No, not just a mere Disney park. It's the only Disney park which created many of it's own backstories, attractions, and shows that were never invented before. Ones that were originally made as the icons of TDS, and BraviSEAmo! is one of them. The theme in Fantasmic is just too "off" for TDS (I mean Cinderella?! Come one!). Taking BraviSEAmo! away is like taking an identity away from the park.
But let's be optimistic! Hopefully the imagineers will adjust the theming of this version of Fantasmic well to the park's theme. Who knows? Maybe there'll Hightower or Nemo...
